...its not often that I find something that makes me cry. but as I write these words I shed a tear thinking of what it must feel like to go day by day without your brother and her father. I can honestly say I want to see the troops come home soon. Too many lives have been lost on both sides, war apparantly being the only "civilized" form of bringing peace. yet we look to the eyes of a small child and a simple message...and we find what really matters...love...

*tries to hold back tears* Its hard going day to day knowing my brother is gone. The girls get to talk to their dad every night though. This war does need to be over. There is no reason for it!

I love this shot. The contrast of the softness of your brother's daughter against the bleak background. I love the use of shadows. Her tiny hands holding up the larger-looking notebook. Very simple yet very powerful. Lovely work.

wow...

It reminds me of a project my foarm tutor did, where he asked people what happiness is to them, and they wrote it on a pice of paper and held it up just like this. They were really powerful photos aswell, i like this a lot. Very good work. The B/W is just perfect.
